Hawk-Dove Encounter

 I was taking photos of a Cooper's hawk when a couple of Eurasian collared doves came by. I don't know if they were trying to scare the hawk away or if they just didn't see it.

  

Yellow-rumped Warbler

 This is the Audubon's Warbler subspecies which is more common in the western US. It is identifiable by the yellow patch on the throat.

A Raven Takes a Bath

Ravens have been visiting the bird bath more frequently in recent weeks. Yesterday for the first time I saw one taking a bath. I managed to get some photos:

Owls Mating at the Bird Bath

 Recently the owls visited the bird bath and began mating. I felt a bit like a voyeur, but in the interest of science I took some pictures. If you're not into owl porn you may wish to skip these, although there's nothing too graphic- they are birds, after all. Everything is covered in feathers.
