In Flight

 A pair of Cooper's Hawks have been hanging around a lot lately and my favorite photos are of birds in flight, so here are some I've accumulated in the past few weeks:

Recent Visitors

 I've seen a few species lately that only show up on occasion, often while migrating through the area.

Male Western Tanager

Hawk-Dove Encounter

 I was taking photos of a Cooper's hawk when a couple of Eurasian collared doves came by. I don't know if they were trying to scare the hawk away or if they just didn't see it.

  

Yellow-rumped Warbler

 This is the Audubon's Warbler subspecies which is more common in the western US. It is identifiable by the yellow patch on the throat.
